Maternity Office Style with L: Cargo Skinnies + Striped Blazer

Hello Lovely Readers~

Today’s look features one of my favorite maternity / non-maternity pairings: skinny pants and a blazer. I found these maternity pants at Old Navy early in the spring, and have loved dressing them up and down.  For our pregnant readers, I recently saw these pants on the clearance racks in store - so you should definitely check out your local store! This blazer from Loft last year has been one of the easier things to transition because it has a loose cut. Most of my regular blazers are too tight in the arms now. The tank is Liz Lange from Target, and I would say the most comfortable purchase I have made all pregnancy. I must give a shout out to one of our fave bloggers Veronica for posting about this tank.  Definitely an awesome style find!

To complete any casual office look, why not add an animal print shoe, layered necklace and leather satchel? It’s a classic yet relaxed look that never seems to go wrong - which makes it a definite staple in The Double Take Girls’ style handbook. :)

Thanks for reading!

Purple + Leather: Date Night with L (37 weeks!)

imageHello Lovely Readers~

Today’s look features a date night outfit I wore this past weekend. I’m so happy the temps are starting to cool here, especially as I approach week 37! It’s hard to believe that baby Claire will be here soon, but at the same time I feel that I’ve been pregnant forever! I’m down to just the last few things in my maternity wardrobe that will fit. One of them being maxi dresses. Luckily I was able to take this maxi dress into fall by adding the leather moto jacket. What do you readers think? Is this an easy way to transition your summer pieces?

Have a wonderful day and happy shopping!

Hello Lovely  Readers~

I’m so excited to share the second part of my maternity photos with you today! We shot this second look so we could have more of a “fall feel” since Claire’s due date is October 17th. I loved how everything turned out with the floral, green and pink pumpkin! :) Now I will have to wait and see if she really will have a September or October birthday…

We want to thank Meghann Jaline Photographie for doing such an amazing job capturing these memories for us. I can’t wait until she takes our birth and newborn photos as well. For more information on booking maternity, birth and newborn photos, see her page here

Debut of the White Vest…Monday with L

imageHello Lovely Readers~

Happy Monday! Today features a look from last weekend at 29 weeks! While I wait out the next 2 months, I’m still trying to find cool and comfortable maternity outfits. I picked up this vest at Old Navy as an affordable option to try out the white denim vest trend. I love classic black and white, so I thought I would try this combo out with the vest to see if I liked it. Admittedly I’m still getting used to wearing vests again (trying to block out flashbacks to 6th grade when W and I actually made vests by hand!!), but think it’s a cute, casual look. The wedges add a little print, and were a great find at JCPenney for only $15. What do you readers think, is the denim vest back?
