Hello Lovely Readers~

Today I’m excited to talk about wearing printed coats! This is such a stylish, yet easy go-to look when in a hurry to get ready. Just pick out your favorite pair of denim or neutral colored ankle pants and top, then layer with a printed jacket and top it off with a statement necklace. Voila! You are out the door in no time, all while looking comforatbly chic! I picked up this jacket during a fabulous sale last year at Macy’s. It’s quickly become one of my favorites. While it’s not longer available, we’ve included some other fabulous printed car coats below.

Hello Lovely Readers,

If you haven’t already picked up on my dressing trend, I’m totally loving maxi dresses this summer. Oklahoma summers are so hot! Which makes my normal love for layering a little more challenging. But that’s where a great maxi dress comes in to save the day. They are like statement necklaces in that they do the heavy lifting for you when it comes to creating a comfortable yet chic look. If you haven’t jumped on the maxi dress train yet, L and I definitely encourage you to do so!  They can really work on all body shapes and sizes. This particular dress is actually on sale (The Limited is running an extra 25% off sales items this week as well), so make sure to check it out before it sells out!

Cherry Red and a Bit of Country Glam with L…

March 13, 2013

imageimageimageimageimageHello Lovely Readers~

Today’s look features a favorite shirt staple: the gingham button-up! With temps starting to warm up some, I used this wrap sweater as my “warmth” piece. It can be a little challenging to dress for spring when the temps are still sometimes winter-like. But, by adding a classic print and this bright red bag, it helped me feel cheery! I couldn’t help but to add a shiny statement necklace to take this country outfit to the next level. What do you readers think? Thanks for reading!

  • Top, Old Navy (new for this spring here)
  • Sweater, jeans and necklace, Loft
  • Belt, Target
  • Bag, Coach
  • Shoes, Mossimo

DoubleMint Diner Style - eShakti’s “Her Fifties” Skirt Review!

February 20, 2013

Today we are excited to show you our new favorite skirt of the season! As you have probably read in previous posts, we are LOVING the online retailer, eShakti.  Just as the past items we have styled on the blog, their new “Her Fifties Colorblock Skirt” does not disappoint!  As soon as eShakti’s Spring Resort Collection was released on the site, this was the item both of us immediately put on our wish list.  We were fortunate enough to get them prior to selling out!  But I just checked the website and looks like they are back in stock again, so our readers are in luck!!

L ordered this skirt in black, and I purchased the red (it also comes in french blue, yellow and navy).  Both color options are closet classics that will be great staples for mixing and matching through the seasons.  I wore mine with a simple black t-shirt and pearls to keep the focus on the stunning stripes.  L decided to dress hers up a bit more by pairing it with a sheer chiffon dot top and a bold statement necklace (loving this affordable piece from Stella&Dot’s new spring line!!) and matching bracelet in this spunky spring green shade.  Both looks give off such a fun 50’s vibe that is so perfect for spring and summer months.  And of course, our looks are completed with a swipe of red lipstick (loving Tarte’s new Glamazon lipstick in Fiery!).

Now for the best part, if you are new to shopping @ eShakti, you can sign up your email address and receive $25 off your next purchase.  As an email subscriber, you will also receive special discounts and offers throughout the year.  In addition, all garment customizations are free now through February 28th!  This means you can have hemlines shortened, sleeves added, pockets removed, etc. at no cost!  Definitely a great option to utilize with your $25 new customer gift certificate.  Great deals on classic closet pieces that can be customized - all without breaking the bank!?! We are quickly becoming hooked!

Happy Wednesday!
