Hello Lovely Readers~

Happy Wednesday!

We hope everyone had a fabulous holiday weekend. Linds and I had a great time getting to spend time with family and friends - as well as some much needed closet reorganization time. It’s hard to believe fall weather is just around the corner! We are excited for some fabulous autumn hues, but not quite ready to put away all of our summer items.

For today’s look, I kept it very simple with letting this vibrant tunic be my statement piece. White skinny jeans, a stone statement necklace along with timeless nude sandals and tote finish off the look. Sometimes we have to remind ourselves that less is more! Although most days we abide by the slogan of “bring on the color!”

Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by our blog!

W’s Party Look: Ladylike Chevron + Pearls

August 6, 2014

imageimageHello Lovely Readers!

Today’s outfit features a ladylike look I wore to a tea party. It was so much fun to get dressed up on a Saturday morning rather than donning my typical workout clothes and top knot. The best part was getting to spend time with good friends and meeting some new ones - all while munching on delicious scones and quiche. :)

I kept the look simple by letting the dress (from The Limited last year) make the statement and pairing it with my go to pearl necklace. My gold clutch is a vintage piece that I picked up several years ago. Funny how often I actually use this item and it cost less than $10! We definitely say every girl needs a great gold clutch in their closet.

Have a wonderful day!

Casual Chic: A Classic Look With W

imageHello Lovely Readers~

Happy Tuesday! As much as Linds and I love to get dressed up, sometimes it’s nice to take a step back and pull together an effortless combo that allows you to be chic yet comfy. This is what we call our “casual chic” look. Jeans can be made dressy with a tweed jacket (like I’m wearing from a super sale at GAP last month), bright nails/lips combo,  or even a embellished top that you would normally reserve for dressier occasions. My look today required no ironing or donning of high heels - a definite hooray when you will be lifting a 25lb toddler in and out of the car multiples times.  Remember to mix texture and colors to create interest!

P.S. I’m loving my new Jack Purcell shoes that I picked up a few weeks ago. So comfy and perfect for causal days!

Can you believe it is March? We certainly love the idea of spring being just around the corner! We’ve had a crazy week of snow and ice, so we have had to keep the boots and coats out for longer than we hoped.  Luckily last week we had some nice weather which was perfect for pulling out these new heels from Sole Society! They paired perfectly with this peplum fairisle sweater (make sure to check your local store for this as it’s super marked down!), classic white blouse and skinny jeans - all from The Limited. I finished off the look with this versatile necklace from Stella&Dot (new version here!) and Coach Legacy Haley satchel.

Happy Wednesday!

Hello Lovely Readers~

Today’s feature is about the wearing the boyfriend jean trend. This is one of my favorite weekend looks for running errands because it’s so comfortable. I chose to pair my jeans (The Limited, also in petities now!) with a semi-slouchy sweater, and a pendant necklace (Stella&Dot). A leather satchel and suede booties add the finishing touch to this on-the-go look.

Have you tried the boyfriend jean look? What are your favorite pairings?

L
