Do you find yourself timid when it comes to wearing multiple patterns together? If so, you aren’t alone. But W is here to give you a few tips for making this creative combo work for you:
1) Choose a large patterned item as your foundation, and then pair it up with a secondary item featuring a smaller print (such as miniature polka dots or stripes)
2) Patterns in contrasting colors such as red and black, or blue and white work nicely together and are easy to pair with other complimentary patterns
3) For those bashful about wearing this trend, try using barely there patterns using tone on tone prints (for example, two light shades of cream in a striped or checked blouse)
4) Don’t forget to try same color combos such as a traditional black blazer with thin, faint pinstripes paired with a black and white floral dress
W’s advice of the day: Don’t be scared to combine prints and patterns. You will be surprised how many new outfits you can come up with to liven up your current wardrobe!
