Happy Tuesday Readers~
Today’s featured look is an outfit I wore to a friend’s 30th birthday party this past weekend. Since the temps are cooling some, I was able to pull out my favorite skinny jeans from last fall. Because they have a bit of stretch (aka spandex) they are extremely comfortable. They are the 917 style from The Limited and are actually still available this year. I recently altered them to be more of a cropped style. Unfortunately many of these type of jeans run long on me and bag at the ankle. Guess that’s how it goes when you are an average height!
Now for the top: any type of animal print is a no-brainer for me. In a debate to purchase such an item, I usually go with “yes, I’ll take it!”. Thankfully animal print has turned into a classic closet staple, so we don’t have to worry about it not being in style year to year. This tunic top is one of the easiest to wear pieces I own. Do you remember when Walmart offered the Norma Kamali line last year? I was able to pick up this top on clearnace for under $10.
Tip of the day: DO wear animal prints. However, make sure to pair your punchy print with other classic, good quality items so that your outfit looks like well put together style and not like reality TV (i.e. cheap leopard overboard, like you may see on a few Jersey-type shows…but I won’t name names).
Enjoy the rest of your day!
