Fall Sister Style Staples: Wrap Dresses + Colorful Blazers

Lindsay and I are so excited to partner with Nordstrom today to share some brand new dress looks with you all! Whether you are on the hunt for a great dress for work or for an evening event, these fall wrap dress are THE perfect thing for a range of activities on your calendar.

We always say a wrap dress is so easy to style and flattering on all body types. Today’s outfit combos are definitely a cinch to put together and will have you looking chic with low effort {which is a must with our busy work days / taking care of kiddos}! Whether you want to wear it alone or paired with a modern blazer or jean jacket over your shoulders, these new wrap dresses from Halogen are going to be a closet favorite for sure. This midi length dress comes in a multitude of size options and in eight colors and prints. The best part? They are under $100 and ship for free!

As far as sizing goes, Lindsay and I are both wearing a size small here. Lindsay would normally be an extra small but sized up for the baby bump. She was so glad this cute style still works for her! On a sidenote, it’s hard to believe she’s now 36 weeks! The countdown for her sweet baby girl is definitely on and I can’t wait to be aunt Whitney to another precious angel.

So now that we’ve shared our individual outfits it’s time to show you all how a few easy steps can create a polished look that is the perfect for a busy day where you want to be comfortable yet still look chic. There’s nothing worse than putting together a cute outfit and being uncomfortable when you sit at your desk or stand up for lunch and notice that you have a zillion wrinkles. There’s no time for that here!! We promise these outfits will definitely not do that. We shot these looks in nearly 100° temps and they still looked pristine after we were done. I already told Lindsay that I’m borrowing her floral dress so I can wear it to church on Sunday. 🙂

Easy Steps For Creating A Chic Fall Dress Outfit

Step 1: Pick a dress

Lindsay and I have rounded up some of our favorite new dress arrivals from exclusive Nordstrom brands like Chlelsea28, 1901, and Haolgen! Whether you like a midi length or something a bit shorter, all of these new arrivals are a great option. Step 2: Select a blazer

Nothing elevates an outfit more than wearing a blazer or draping a jacket over your shoulders. For today’s outfits, Lindsay and I are both wearing this new structured blazer from Halogen. It’s a great price point and the jacket is so well-made. It’s currently available in four colors. We’re both wearing a size small here and we would say it runs true to size. Step 3: Choose a bag

You all know we are the biggest Tory Burch fans! It was so much fun getting to use our favorite Fleming and Kira bags for today’s looks. There are so many new purse arrivals out right now at Nordstrom. We’ve selected some additional Tory Burch options that would be so cute with so many outfits.

Step 4: Pick a pair of shoes

Last but not least it’s time to pick a pair of shoes! In my opinion, ankle strap heels are the way to go if you’re going to be on your feet for a long time. Compared to traditional heels, I like that I can still wiggle my toes with ankle strap shoes without having to take my shoes off under my desk. Plus they’re super flattering as well!
