Today is our BIRTHDAY! We are so excited to share some fun birthday memories with you all today plus all the details on our gorgeous holiday outfits from Anthropologie! Lindsay and I are so thankful to be twins and best friends. Getting to celebrate your birthday with a best friend is such a blessing but even more so when it happens to be your twin!

We are so grateful that our families {we each have husbands and two daughters} live close to on another and to our parents and younger brother too! We began our blog nearly 10 years ago and it is such fun to get to run TheDoubleTakeGirls together each and every day. Before we take a walk down memory lane we are going to share all the details on our festive outfits. They are perfect for all the holiday parties on your list! Lindsay is wearing this show stopping jumpsuit that features the prettiest golden hues paired with black. The one shoulder design is so chic too. Lindsay is wearing size XS and would say it runs true to size to slightly oversized. It is fully lined and comes with a gorgeous beaded sash as well. I love how she paired these sparkly earrings with her outfit for an extra pop of glam too!

Now for my outfit details! I am wearing this stunning velvet maxi dress that comes in four colors plus in petite and plus sizes. It is SO comfy and fun to wear thanks to the full skirt. I love this gorgeous color but it also comes in burgundy, black and green. I found the style to run true to size and I am wearing size small here for reference. You all will love it! I think this style is one that can be dressed up or down too. I can’t wait to style it with leopard print too. It definitely makes you feel like a holiday princess while wearing it. It is easy to see why it has so many amazing reviews!

A Few Favorite Birthday Memories…

1. We have always loved sharing our birthdays and we have only spent a few apart over the last several decades. One of them was a year that I had to travel for work (before blogging full time) and an important meeting fell on my birthday and I just couldn’t miss it. But otherwise we definitely always see each other on our birthday.

2. We always loved going to pick out a special birthday dress with our Mom and Grandma. One of may favorite dresses of all time was a black velvet dress with purple taffeta bow and flounced skirt. It was very 90s for sure but I loved the color and how girly it was.

3. Having a December birthday was always fun since it meant it was a full month of festivities! Minus once we got to high school and college and finals would end up on our birthday – but we got used to it. 😉
