Kate Spade Spring 2018 Presentation | Our NYFW Adventures

Happy Weekend!!

We have been dying to share all about our very favorite event at New York Fashion Week: the Kate Spade New York SS18 Presentation! As you all know, Lindsay and I are the biggest Kate Spade fans ever! We’ve had the opportunity to work with them on several projects the last year or two which has definitely been a dream come true.

Linds and I were invited to their February NYFW presentation earlier this year and we were thrilled to attend our very first KSNY show! However the NYC blizzard had other plans and we couldn’t get out of Oklahoma City for two days. So all that to say, as soon as we got the invitation for their upcoming September event we were thrilled!!! There was no way we were going to miss it this time!

We arrived in NYC on Thursday evening and we quickly shot a few looks for the blog, had dinner and headed up to bed to get ready for the big day! Kate Spade’s presentation was the first thing on our NYFW agenda and let’s just say it was the MOST perfect way to kick off our sister adventures in the city.

The Spring 2018 presentation was held in Grand Central Station at the iconic Grand Street Oyster Bar. We have been to NYC several times but never in Grand Central Station! We got dropped off by our uber and headed inside, down a long ramp and were greeted by spirited jazz music and the most stunning greenery and floral decorated arches. It was all picture perfect!! We were checked in by the KSNY team and entered the packed event. No one turns down an invitation to see Deborah Lloyd’s designs!
Kate Spade New York always picks a theme for each presentation and this collection was all about kicking off their 25th anniversary celebration with southern charm created by magnificent floral landscapes, gorgeous jazz music and delicious New Orleans inspired food. 2018 will be all about commemorating the brand’s 25th year {which is hard to believe!} and they will take us on a joyful journey across the United States. We can’t wait to see it all unfold!

Linds and I grabbed coffees in the cutest logo cups and headed to the stage. The spotlights, spirited music and gorgeous models really felt like a movie! We couldn’t get over all the stunning designs, special details and sparkly accessories. Linds was able to capture some amazing images of the collection. We can’t wait for it all to debut this spring! As you can see, the mix of feminine aspects wrapped in modern flair is a dreamy combination. {See pics we took during the presentation at the end of this post!}

Some of our favorites features were the floral patterns, feminine silhouettes, statement earrings and of course ALL the bags! As KSNY purse collectors, we were thrilled to see so many amazing designs in person. Speaking of bags, Linds and I wore our very favorite Byrdie bags to the event. After catching up with our marketing contact  at the company {she is THE sweetest} we went to the stunning greenery wall for some sister photos. We passed by Leandra Medine of Man Repeller and actress Jamie Chung. We so wanted to ask for a photo but decided not to bother them LOL. We ran into several of our blogger friends too and had a wonderful time catching up, listening to the Jazz music and taking more photos of the collection.

Now to our outfits! We can’t thank Kate Spade New York enough for dressing us for the event. Linds and I had the hardest time picking out items from their current poppy themed collection as we love it ALL! I ended up picking out the Poppy Flutter Sleeve Dress and Linds wore the Pom Embroidered Midi Dress. We love how they tuned out together with our bags!
