Hello Friends!
Today is an exciting day! It’s finally time to share my full kitchen remodel reveal! My adventures in remodeling began when we purchased this 30 year old home home about 2.5 years ago. My husband and have been renovating it from top to bottom {on and off} since then. So needless to say I’m so thrilled to have another room marked off this list! Our home originally had dark grey tile throughout the entire first floor as well as darker neutral paint. The kitchen had a ceiling fan, old stovetop, dark walls and dingy cabinets. But it was a great size and we knew it had huge potential!
When we first started talking about the end goal for this space, I knew my dream kitchen definitely had to be bright white with touches of brass. I wanted to make sure the style was classic + modern yet would stay in style for years to come. It was quite a labor of love but I’m so excited with how everything came out!
The first thing we did once we moved 2.5 years ago was to paint the kitchen cabinets, replace all of the can lights, remove the ceiling fan and remove the tile flooring. We laid the new wood flooring right away but didn’t complete phase two which included installation of the quartz countertops, new lighting, brass pulls and fixtures until just recently! I was so excited to partner with Mill Creek Carpet and Tile and utilize their fabulous in-store design consultants to update my old kitchen counters and backsplash from an outdated peach clay color to this gorgeous all white subway tile, patterned backsplash, and all white quartz countertops and custom kitchen island.
Mill Creek Carpet and Tile has 10 locations in Oklahoma as well as store locations in Kansas and Arkansas. They offer so many options for flooring and tile needs. We are so pleased with our selection process, delivery and installation of our tile and countertops! From start to finish, Mill Creek made my tile and countertop update project so easy to complete!
Now it’s time to share the before photo:
It’s so wild to me to see this before picture! It was dark and outdated! My husband and I clearly didn’t realize how much work was cut out for us on this remodel. But isn’t that how it always goes for remodel projects? Anyways, I’m just glad we don’t have tile throughout our whole first floor anymore and all the walls and cabinets are light and bright now! We also replaced all of the kitchen appliances which definitely helped modernize the space. While that part wasn’t cheap, it was definitely an investment we were willing to put into our dream kitchen project.

Paints Colors & Lighting
We painted the kitchen Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace and used Benjamin Moore Decorator’s White on the cabinets. The floors are Heirloom by Provenza in “Ashford”. I love these gorgeous Hagen pendants by Hudson Valley, and we used 2 of the large size. The brass detailing on the glass was the prefect combination to bring in all the details of white and gold.

Your white cabinets are to DIE for! So beautiful! I also love the touches of brass. I’ve never considered that color combo before, but it looks amazing! I need to get my cabinet painting done soon!!
Have you been working on it for the whole 2.5 years you’ve been there or was there a time you were specifically working on it? Just curious about how long it took, and what I could maybe expect it to take me (time-wise). Thanks, Lindsay!
