My Wedding Ring & Engagement Story

Before giving more details on this amazing one day event, it’s time for me to share all about my wedding ring journey and how BC Clark helped me find the ring of my dreams!

This summer my husband and I celebrated a very special wedding anniversary: 15 years!! We met while I was in college {we were actually set up on a blind date!} and got engaged the summer before my junior year. I had almost a year to plan the perfect wedding and we got married in June before my senior year. It’s funny to think that I was just 21 {my husband is five years older} but I knew on our first date that he was the one!

My sweet hubby managed to completely surprise me with a proposal in La Jolla, CA {at the famous “wedding bowl” beach} during a family vacation. My mom and Lindsay had taken me shopping that afternoon so that my dad and brother could go pick Brant up at the airport and drop him off at the beach so he would be ready for the surprise!

My parents told me that we were headed to the beach for some family photos and to walk around as this area of La Jolla is especially pretty. We got out of the car and started heading to the water. All of a sudden I see Whit, Marry Me written out in the sand at the most beautiful spot looking over the ocean! I looked up and there was Brant in a suit holding a ring. The rest is just a blur but I of course definitely said “yes”!! The ring he picked out was gorgeous and it will forever be special to me. We had a beautiful wedding at our church followed by a reception at our local country club. It was the perfect day!

Now fast forward to the last few years, I became familiar with Henri Daussi rings when Lindsay updated her wedding band set at the BC Clark store at Penn Square Mall for her and her husband’s 10th anniversary. Lindsay’s new stacked set is stunning and I fell in love with the Henri Daussi designs. So over the next few years my hubby and I talked about the possibility of getting a new ring that would perfectly reflect my style and celebrate our next milestone of 15 years of marriage.

Well last month we decided to look at rings to see if anything would fit our budget and the PERFECT ring was there! Tracey at BC Clark was so helpful and patient. Brant and I so appreciate her helping us find exactly what I had envisioned while staying in our price range. I tried on so many rings but funny enough I went with the very first ring that I tried on – which is exactly what happened with my wedding dress. I took that as a sign it was definitely meant to be!

So now it’s time to reveal THE ring!!

Isn’t it so pretty!?! I absolutely love it and it is just so sparkly I can’t stop looking at it! I chose a Henri Daussi 18k white gold diamond engagement band featuring a cushion cut diamond surrounded by round pave diamonds.

It almost feels like I got engaged all over again! My husband is of course happy that I am happy! 🙂 This will be the ring I have for decades and I’m so thrilled to have found exactly what I had in mind all these years.
