Today’s outfit features a classic summer look that we always fall back on: nautical! W found this striped tunic at Macy’s earlier this summer and was sweet enough to add one for me in her order! It also comes in a tan/white and black/white combo. Luckily the top has a very relaxed fit, so I’ve been able to wear it even up to the 3rd trimester.
The white shorts are from Old Navy, and have a full panel (most comfortable at this stage). I’d say this length is the easiest for me to wear while pregnant, since I want to be comfortable and cool but not worry about how short my shorts are while sitting down! I would definitely say these shorts run small. I’ve also purchased them in the denim and found the same sizing issue. The leg opening and panel just aren’t roomy, so if you are looking to purchase these online, keep in mind that they may require sizing up 1-2 sizes. But all in all, for shorts under $30, I think they will do the job of getting me through the hot temps this summer.
And, I couldn’t forget my fave summer statement necklace – Juniper from Stella & Dot! I find myself wearing this necklace almost every week. I love the mix of blue and green hues… and a little bit of sparkle. Perfect to wear out in the summer sun!
