Our Hair History
Lindsay and I have always had long hair since we were 5 or 6 years old. It’s naturally curly too which means we struggle with giving it enough moisture but without making our hair greasy. When we were younger we let our natural curls air dry or used a diffuser on low heat. But over the last 7+ years Lindsay and I both decided we like our hair styled straight with curls added in to add volume and movement. This means we end up using a lot of heat tools on our hair. Hair dryer, straightener and a curling wand to be exact!
When it comes to color, people always ask us if our hair is naturally so dark. Our root area is our natural color! However, the last year or so we have been adding in some balayage to lighten us up a bit around the face and last few inches at the bottom. We love it! It’s especially nice for spring and summer. However, with bleach comes dryness. So this means we have to pay special attention to keeping our hair moisturized and conditioned. So this brings us to our hunt for product to help us with styling and processing damage!
A few weeks ago, Pantene just came out with their first ever at-home rescue treatment. How To Use Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots
Step 1:Â Use your normal shampoo. We used the Pantene Daily Moisture Renewal Shampoo. It’s a great option that we highly recommend using before your treatment!
Step 2: Instead of conditioner, once weekly use the Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots. Open one of the three treatment vials and apply onto damp hair from root-to-tip. Make sure to use the whole tube!
Step 3:Â Let the treatment sit on your hair for 30 seconds. You don’t need much time at all for the treatment to sink in and work its magic.
Step 4:Â Now it’s time to rinse for 30 seconds! We used warm water followed by a shot of cold water. Make sure to not over rinse. And voila! Your hair feels like you just had a salon treatment – but it’s a fraction of the cost and the time that’s usually involved!
