Today is another installment of our Sister Sunday post. Every few weeks we like to take the time to give readers a look into our lives as sisters and twins. This picture was taken two weeks ago the night of our cousin’s wedding. We were just hoping that W wouldn’t go into labor! It’s fun to look back and think how quickly things change. Thankfully W made it another 6 days, and Avery arrived safe and sound.
It’s hard to believe how fast the summer has gone. We are certainly ready for cooler temps and fall style, like most everyone else! Today we are reminiscing about back-to-school shopping! It seems like school starts back sooner each summer. Growing up, back-to-school shopping (for both clothes and new backpacks, notebooks, etc.) was our favorite time of the year!
Some of our favorite school outfits consisted of dresses. And to this day, we still love wearing dresses in an array of styles. From pre-k to high school, we attended a private school that had a strict dress code. We didn’t have a daily uniform though, so we actually liked the dress code rules. We were (and still are) very conservative dressers, so a few of the dressing guidelines – like the length of skirts and shorts – didn’t bother us. One of my favorites dresses that I had in 5th grade was a navy cotton dress with cherries on it. The best part, my best friend got the same dress on our annual Dallas shopping trip with our moms. Wish I could find those pics somewhere. I will have to put that on the the follow-up list.
Now time for me to go ask W what her favorite school outfit was growing up. We’d love if our readers would comment below and tell us their school outfit memories. We hope everyone has a great Sunday!
You can find W’s outfit information from the above picture posted here.
My dress is from Ann Taylor Loft (several years ago), necklace and bracelet are from The Limited, and shoes are from Gianni Bini.
