Both Lindsay and I worked in a office setting for 10+ years before blogging full time. We always loved {and still do } when the new fall arrivals would debut in August. It always gave us something to look forward to when it came to jazzing up our standard 8am – 5pm work outfits. It’s easy to get into a rut when it comes to office wear. But we are changing that with today’s sister style post!

Lindsay’s Fall Transitional Look from Ann Taylor

First up is Lindsay! She is styling this oh so cute zebra shift dress that features flutter sleeves and a zip back. The fabric is lightweight so it’s perfect to wear now. No need to wait for fall temps! Lindsay said it is so comfortable and was glad this style even worked for her at 32 weeks pregnant. She did size up for the bump. We would say it runs true to size. It does run a smidge short so even petite girls would be great with the regular size run. The classic zebra print is modernized with the light tan shade instead of bright white which we love!
Lindsay accessorized her look with this pearl triple strand necklace and sling back heels. These tan suede heels are SO comfy! We suggest going down a 1/2 size for the perfect fit. You all will so enjoy them!
Now to turn Lindsay’s outfit into a bit dressier, she added in this cutaway blazer in their famous bi-stretch fabric. It’s amazing! The fabric doesn’t wrinkle and it has the perfect amount of stretch. From desk to date night, it’s easy to see why this timeless black blazer has such rave reviews! Now for a bit about my mix and match look! I’m a collector of camp shirts {one of Ann Taylor’s best selling styles} because they can be worn with pencil pants, skirts, jeans and more. They are always comfy and usually come in a variety of sizes too! Well needless to say once I saw this new zebra version it was a no brainer that my blouse collection needed a new addition.
This breezy blouse features the same iconic print as Lindsay’s shift dress. The fabric is lightweight making it a great option to wear now. It’s available in both petite and regular sizes XXS – XXL. I’m wearing my usual size small so we would say it runs true to size. This blouse will sell out in no time so definitely don’t wait to check out!!! Now for the pants! I’m all about pencil pants but decided to give the Marina belted wide leg pants a try for something new. I love the high waisted style, comfortable fabric and that they even come with a belt! The belted wide leg Marina pant comes in petite, regular and tall sizes in 00-18. If between sizes we suggest going up but otherwise it runs true to size. There’s no need to fear boring black pant outfits with this new pair!
As for accessories, I’m wearing this triple strand sparkly necklace, gold tassel bracelet {also available in silver} and the Lorna sling back block heels in “toasted sesame”. These suede heels are best sellers and now come in burgundy and black for fall! The versatile design, padded footbed and 3.5 inch heel make these a great option for causal to dressy outfits.
Last but not least, I paired my outfit with this new tweed blazer for a dressier option! I love how this jacket mixes shades of ivory, tan, gold and black together for a great neutral combination that is still striking. I can’t wait to style it with a cami and jeans. I’m loving that sleeveless tie neck blouse!
I am loving the tie neck blouse!!! Not sure if I can step out as far as the zebra print, but it’s a great blouse for work! Also, the wide leg pants that Whitney has on are a MUST! Work wear can tend to get dull after a season!
Ann Taylor has so many cute pieces! I love seeing both of the ways you girls style zebra print! I think the tweed blazer is my favorite piece out of these!
There are so many items I love from the new arrivals it’s hard to pick just one or two. The zebra camp shirt is a must have for sure. I also really like the belted marina in glen plaid but can’t decide between the green and taupe….guess I need to get them both 😉

I think that the camper shirt is great! I do love the flexibility of how many outfits you can get out of, but the zebra pumps I love! It’s easier to wear your animal prints on your feet if you aren’t that sure about a dress, top or even pants in such a wild card item!
I love the Dashed Matt Jersey Wrap Dress. It is a nice transitional look, that is very polished and you can glam it up or dress it down by your accessories. Nice fall collection, it is making me look forward to fall!
